WatchMECreate Film Contest

In the 2010-11 school year, 8th grade GOT Farms student, Mike Rodway, produced a short film for the first WatchMECreate film contest sponsored by the Maine Department of Education. This challenge, called WatchMEGraduate asked students to create a two-minute film response to the question, “What one thing should be done in your school community to increase the number of kids who make it to graduation?”  Mike’s answer was “farming” and he used footage and interviews from the Fantastic Food Frenzy field trip in the Fall of 2011.  Mike’s film won first place in the middle school division, and as a result, he earned $500 for the GOT Farms program at Telstar.  You can watch the film at this website:
